FIRST BAPTIST

Our children's ministry starts from birth to 6th grade. We seek to educate our children with God's word and grow in the Lord physically, emotionally, academically, and spiritually. We minister to children in McHenry, in our community, nationally, and around the world. We challenge our children in Sunday School, Children's Church, AWANA clubs, camps, Vacation Bible School, Bible drill, field trips, and mission trips.

Our youth ministry begins with those who have completed 6th grade through12th grade. We meet weekly on Sundays at 9:30am for Bible Study (topical studies dealing with youth culture), morning worship at 11:00am, and Sunday at 6:00pm. We are serious about following Jesus Christ. If you want to hang out with us and transform our city and the world for God, please come visit us. Our youth are also involved in missions, PADS, Feed My Starving Children, Operation Christmas Child, and other ministries.

The Women's Ministry seeks to challenge women to be godly in their daily walk with Jesus Christ. We minister to women of all ages by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and discipling women through Bible studies, conferences, retreats, outreach, and missions (WMU). The Woman's Missionary Union meets periodically each month for Bible Study. Please come and see what our ladies are doing for God's kingdom locally, nationally, and globally.

Our Men's Ministry meets on the third Saturday of each month at 8:00am in the Erb Room for breakfast, Bible study (except winter months), and church workday. We attend the "Iron Sharpens Iron" Men's Conference in Beloit, WI annually (around March), seek to mentor and disciple men to be godly, and becoming men of integrity for God's glory. Please come and fellowship with men who are sold out to Jesus Christ.

AWANA offers a fun, proven approach for early evangelism and discipleship. Scripture-based programs and exciting games attract families, promote Bible literacy, and help kids develop lifelong faith in Christ.

G.R.O.W.: Outreach Teams that Win

GROW was designed to be a fun outreach ministry that our church folks look forward to! GROW is an acronym for "God Rewards Our Work." GROW works to cultivate commitment among those who are willing to be involved in outreach once a month. As involvement increases, commitment grows.

With different levels of participation, GROW involves more of our church members in outreach. Participants can be involved in outreach once a month through prayer, visitation, letter writing, and phone calling. Christians are busy, yet very likely to commit to once-a-month outreach through GROW. Consider implementing this ministry in your life today.
